Transversus thoracis
from posterior sternum to costal cartilages
Cremaster
from medial edge of the internal oblique to spermatic cord
Diaphragm
from xiphoid process, inner surface of the lower ribs and costal cartilages, medial and lateral arcuate ligaments and lumbar vertebrae via the crura to the central tendon
External oblique
from lower 8 ribs to iliac crest and rectus sheath
Internal oblique
from thoracolumbar fascia to inguinal liament, iliac crest and rectus sheath
Quadratus lumborum
from 12th rib to iliolumbar fascia to inguinal ligament and iliac crest
Rectus abdominis
from xiphoid process and adjacent costal cartilages to pubic crest and tubercle
Transversus abdominis
from lower 6 costal cartilages and thoracolumbar fascia to inguinal ligament, iliac crest and rectus sheath
Coccygeus
from ischial spine and sacrospinous ligament to coccyx
Levator ani
fromm pubic symphysis, obturator fasia and ischial spine to midline raphe nd anococcygeal ligament
Bulbospongiosus
(male) from median raphe and perineal body to surround bulb of penis (female) from the perineal body to surround vestibular bulb, vaginal orifice and clitoris
Ischiocavernosus
from ischial tuberosity and ramus to aponeurosis surrounding crus of penis or clitoris
Sphincter ani externus
from perineal body to anococcygeal raphe
Sphincter urethrae
surrounds urethra
Compressor urethrae
(female) from ischiopubic ramus to midline passing ventral to the urethra and inferior to the sphinchter urehrae with a variable number of fibers fanning out medially to reach the vagina
Sphincter urethrovaginalis
from perineal body, surrounds vagina and urethra to meed contralateral muscle inferior to compressor urethrea
Deep transverse perineus
from ischial tuberosity to perineal body
Superfcial transverse perioneus
from ischial tuberosity to perineal body
Vertebral body
psoas, diaphragm (crura)
Costal facet
articulates with head of rib
Transverse process
erector spinaepsoas, levator scapulae and transsversalis fascia
Costotubercular facet
articulates with rib
