Q

What was Meltzoff and Moore study?

A

An experimental displayed facial gestures such as sticking out a tongue and opening their mouth to 12 to 21 day year old infants. Recordings of the infants responses were rated by people blind to the experiment. It was found that infant responses matched the experiment of facial expressions. These results suggest the ability to observe and reciprocate in imitation is present from a very early age.
