- Degree of sensitivity - if fathers show more sensitivity = stronger relationship
- Type of attachment father has with parents - single parent fathers tend to form the same with their kids
- Martial intimacy - degree of intimacy father has within relationship affects attachment with children
- Supporting co-parents - amount of support father gives to his partner in helping to care for children affects the type of attachment he will have with his children.
