ATPase dependent K+ channel Flashcards
1
Q
ATP ase dependent K+ channel
A
- octamer
- from 4 four forming K+ channel: KIR3,2
- SUR1 times 4: sulfonylurea receptor subunit
- SUR1 contain 3 TMD and 2 NBD
ER retention signals to make sure correct assembly of the octamer
2
Q
regulation
A
- inward rectification and flow out of ion blocked by Mg2+ and polyamines
- ATP inactivates it by superfusion
- ADP activates it by superfusion (even when ATP is present) diazoxide
- Sulfonylurea inhibits the channel
3
Q
Subunits affected
A
Kir6.2 -> ATP
SUR1 -> sulfonyurea, ADP and K+ channel openers
