78% Nitrogen
21% Oxygen
Rest are small gases like carbon dioxide and argon.

What gases were present in early earth?
A
Early earth mainly consisted of all carbon dioxide and small amounts of nitrogen.

Early earth contained a lot of volcanic activity. These volcanoes released the gases which formed the atmosphere at that time. One of the gases was water vapour. As the earth cooled, the water vapour condensed to form the oceans. Volcanoes also released huge amounts of co2 and a little nitrogen.
