- Immunoglobulin - IgG, IgE, and IgA decreased

What is the inheritance of ATM?
A
Autosomal recessive

What is the associated immune response?
A
Immunodeficiencies in 60-80%
Poor antibody response to pneumococcal vaccine and 30% T cell dysfunction

What are the clinical manifestations of ATM?
A
- Telangiectasia appear AFTER ataxia (ocular, malar, antecubital fossa, chest)
- Dysarthria, nystagmus, oculomotor apraxia, choroeoathetosis, tremor, dystonia, myoclonus
- Polyneuropathy (absent or decreased DTR)
- Intelligence typically normal
- Immunodeficiency frequent resp infections
- Associated with increased risk of leukemia and lymphoma
- Death by age 20yo usu. from infection or neoplasm
