mag and frequency decreases in 1st 2 years of life
Adults levels by 4-5 years old (WTR most common and OA rarest form)
Rx if 1DC for 1+ year olds because risk of amblyopia

keratometry
used for magnitude (confirmation) and changes (monitoring)
toddlers
Rx if more than 2.50D less than 2 years old
Rx if more than 2.00D more than 2 years old
Expect astigmatism to decrease by 4-5 years old
Preschooler
4+ year old: Rx if more than 1.50DC
School Aged
Rx if more than 0.75DC
Reading Fluency in School Aged Children
Grades 3-8
oral reading fluency decreased with more than 1DC uncorrected
