1
Q
What are the general solubility rules
A
- Group 1 positive ions are always soluble and NO3- and C2H3O2-
- Halides are generally soluble with the exception of Ag+ Pb2+ and Hg22+halides
3.SO42-s are generally soluble with the exception of certain group 2 elements like Ca Ba Sr Pb(heavy alkali earth metals) - OH generally insoluble except for the heavy group 2 earth alkali metals Na and NH4 Mg is the border line
- Sulphide Carbonate Phosphate and Chromate are generally insoluble with the exception of group 1 cations and ammonium
