in-vitro fertilisation (IVF)?
A
- gametes taken from both parents and fertilised outside the womens body.
- once fertilised the embryo is implanted into the women’s uterus.

Gamete intrafallopian transfer (GIFT)?
A
- egg and sperm mixed together immediately after eggs have been collected.
- the mixture is then inserted back into the woman’s fallopian tubes in the hope they will fertilise as the egg passes down the fallopian tubes to the uterus.

intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICIS)?
A
- a single sperm is injected into a single egg resulting in a embryo which is transferred into the womens uterus .

A
- semen is donated by another man
- semen is inserted into the woman’s upper vagina at the time of ovulation.

- woman may agree to bear a child for a couple when the female partner is unable to become pregnant.
- the baby is given to the genetic parents once born.
