A

A

Only advantage the beggar has as he lives a miserable life. Suggests he will only find peace when he is dead. The “yet” shows he thinks the beggar may soon be dead. Creates sympathy.

A

Compares the beggar to a ruined temple. Temples are beautiful and but he is being compared to a ruined one that is ugly and unloved.
