Boot Process
The Boot process is a series of steps that the computer goes through each time it is turned on, to check if anything is damaged since it was last used.
Parallel Processing
Parallel Processing is a concept when there are more than one CPUs working together in a single problem. Each CPU is responsible for for a separate part of the problem, and at the end the results from all the CPUs will be combined to form a final result. The CPUs will work simultaneously, thus the processing will become much faster.
Cache Hit
When the data requested for processing is found in the cache.
Cache Miss
When the data requested fro processing is not found in the cache.
Cold Boot
When the computer is forced to turn off and back on again by fixing the power connection.
Reboot
When the computer is turned off and back on again by the operating system, and not involving power-offs.
