Preference Assessment
Identifies a preferred stimuli and sometimes ranks them hierarchically
Developmental assessment
Arranges skills in the order in which they are typically learned, sometimes using statistical analysis or “phases of development “
Curriculum-Based Assessment
Arranged skills in a logical order or sequence, building off previously taught skills.
functional analysis
Identifies the typeof reinforcement maintaining a behavior
- Demonstrates causality- that is to say, A causes B
Multiple Stimulus Without Replacement (MSWO) Preference Assessment
Preference assessment where selections are removed once selected after each trial; assessment ends after all items have been selected once or the participant refuses to select on 2 consecutive trials; generates a “ranked list” of preferred stimuli.
Multiple Stimulus (MS) Preference Assessment
Preference assessment where selections are available on each trial - generates a list that reflects an individuals most-preferred stimuli, when all options are available
Reinforcer Assessment
Identifies reinforcers, and sometimes determines a “breakpoint “where the response effort overcomes the value of the consequence.
Social Skills Assessment
Focuses on the development of skills required to participate in the community, make friends, and interact with others
Extinction
Previously reinforced consequence no longer receives reinforcement.
Free Operant (FO) Preference Assessment
Client freely engages with items in a set area, and duration of engagement is measured to judge relative preference
