Assessing study designs Flashcards
1
Q
What is a null hypothesis?
A
States that there is no relationship between the two variables being measured/
Researchers aim to disprove/ reject the null hypothesis which means that the alternative hypothesis was true/ accepted.
2
Q

3
Q
Cohen’s Kappa coefficient
A
• Measures agreement between two or more
assessors
• Indicates whether the agreement is due to chance or not
• Kappa of 1 = perfect agreement
• Kappa of = 0 indicates agreement due to chance
