: Antithromboembolic
• Irreversibly blocks formation of thromboxane A2 resulting in decreased platelet aggregation (antiplatelet effect).

INDICATIONS:
CHEST PAIN - SUSPECTED CARDIAC/STEMI
- If cardiac chest pain is suspected and the patient is able to swallow, give Aspirin 162 - 324 mg po as soon as possible (tablet or chewable – not enteric coated)

- Hypersensitivity to ASA
- Relative contraindication in patients with active ulcers or asthma

- 2-4 baby ASA tablets (81 mg each for a total 162 - 324 mg)
- PO chewed and swallowed.
- (tablet or chewable – not enteric coated)
