The building could be rented and the lord could be in charge of paying the energy costs . It could also be split b/n two companies / organizations .

Energy declaration is a document that provides information about the energy performance of a building. It useful because it provides information about the consumption and efficiency of a building . In Sweden such information can be found at the Swedish energy agency , Boverket .
What more can you say about heating and cooling ?
These can easily be influenced by the installation of good insulation, good layered windows without leaks . Choosing efficient heating or cooling systems eg. Oil furnaces can be replaced with district heating or cooling system ( which is essentially green heating because of reduced emissions).
What could be a useful techno in comparing energy consumption?
Comparing energy consumption can be done by using the consumption per square meter of the building to be compared to other buildings of similar size and usage patterns .
What is green electricity?
This is electricity produced from renewable sources of energy .
How can energy consumption be reduced ?
It can start with using low energy light bulbs , setting lights to automatically turn off/on . Standby power consumption from other appliance can add to the building!s energy consumption and should have a software that can switch appliances off after being on standby for over a period of time.

This is a good way to ascertain the total cost of a product through out its entire lifecycle from use , to maintenance costs to disposal costs. This can help inform purchasing decisions as cheaper products may cost twice as much during its life cycle .

- Travel
- Transportation of goods

What can be said about travel?
This includes company cars and other journeys. Here if you want reduce environmental impacts in employee personal travel to and from work it is not a good idea to pay for travel because you would have to pay taxes . However you can promote sustainable transport modes by using incentives . Eg some companies allow employees who cycle to start work 15mins later .
The company can also invest in electric vehicles to be used by employees for site visit and other company related activities .
You could also invest in eco driving courses to teach employees how to efficiently use their vehicles to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions
What can be said about transport of goods ?
Companies must try to own their trucks so they can make better choices of cars to purchase.
Truck drivers can undergo eco driving courses.
Choose other modes for transporting large quantities of goods eg. Train/ship over roads .

- Start buy making an inventory list to keep track of all chemicals.
- Make sure you have all MSDS for all chemicals being used. These sheets provide information on the chemical components, hazards, safe handling and storage of the chemicals.
- Practice safe handling and storages at all times .
- There should be a detailed list of chemicals being used using the PRIO guidelines( can help you manage chemicals and assess their risk).
- Be well informed of all laws regarding the use and sale of chemicals being used.
What are the proper ways to store chemicals ?
- Stored in locked cabinets with forced ventilation.
- If necessary store in special refrigerators and label the of the fridge.
- Certain chemicals must not be stored together to prevent dangerous reactions.
- The storage space should always be neat and tidy
- All bottles should be correctly labeled ( prevent accidents and helps with easy identification).
- Practice proper waste disposal techniques of chemicals
- Be well informed or aware of all legislation regarding the use and sale of chemicals relevant to the organization
