A
Period in which a significant gap in economic power and development occured mainly between Asia and Western Europe. The timimg of the great divergence is in dispute among scholars, pointing it out between 15th and 17th century. Many experts claim this happened due to the technological and industrial advancements that Western Europe at that time achieved, with which Asia wasn’t able to keep up.
