A

● Renal Na + H2O retention due to arterial vasodilation + ↓effective blood vol
● Portal hypertension
● Low serum albumin: ↓ plasma oncotic pressure

  • Malignancy
  • Infection (esp TB)
  • Cirrhosis
  • HF
  • Pericarditis
