Reporting times
Acute = working 7days of the offence.
Non-acute = 7days to 6months of the offence.
Historic = longer than 6 months.
Age
A person is 18 or over at the time of reporting.
The ages is at the time the complaints made not when it happened.
What are the objectives of a forensic medical exam?
-the victims safety and well-being are paramount.
-the primary objective is the physical, sexual, safety and mental health.
-the secondary objective is trace evidence.
What do you tell the on call doctor before an MEK?
-contact on call medical practitioner.
-give brief circumstances (what, where, when, how)
-the victims gender, age, injuries or other health concerns.

Level 3 interviewer.
An NCO can authorize an interview by a competent level 1 or 2 interviewer.
