What are the main responsibilities of the president?
Enforce and carry out laws, Chief executive of the U.S., appoints Cabinet Members, Heads executive agencies and departments, approves or vetoes bills, Commander in Chief of armed forces, signs treaties with foreign countries (w/ senate approval), and appoints Supreme Court justices (w/ senate approval)
How long can he serve?
Each term is 4 yrs and he can serve 2 terms
Who are the President and the Vice President?
Barack Obama and Joe Biden

He’s the living example for the U.S and he needs to provide a example to the people

He is responsible for enforcing the laws of the U.S. As well as being is charge of all the Government workers within the Executive branch

The president establishes foreign policies and decides how America will react with other countries

He’s in charge of the armed forces

Although Congress makes the laws, the president has great influence in deciding which legislations will be passed

He is the leader of his Political party

Works for a stronger national government and prepares the nations budget
What is the Electoral College? Why did the writers of the Constitution create it?
A group of elected people who vote for the President and Vice President. They created it for the states to have a role in the national elections, to protect the country from “ill-informed” people, and to ensure one part of the country would not have the ability to choose the president over the rest of the country
What is the order of succession for President?
Vice President, Speaker of the House, President Pro Tempore, Cabinet
What is the Cabinet? How are those individuals selected?
The group of people that advise the president and are chosen by the president
What are the qualifications for President and Vice President
They have to be 35 yrs old, they need to be natural born citizens
