Candidate called to active military duty before being hired or disqualified can be considered for the next class hired if the candidate:
- Reapplies within 180 days of being released from active duty
- And Providing next stanine to be considered is created within 24 months from the date of the candidate’s reapplication.
Eligibility list for hiring process may be effective for:
- A max of 12 months
- Until a specified number are hired

Scoring
0-100 points per interview board member
All scores added together range from 0-500
Scoring below 300 (5-person board) or 240 (4-person board) or 180 (3-person board) shall NOT be considered for hiring.
Candidates can be held over into the next class if the next class begins within
90 days of the expiration date.
All new hires and rehires will serve a probationary period from date hired through academy and completion of
100 shifts worked on an active service status Engine or Truck/Quint.
Shifts must be 24 hours. They include
- Regular Shift
- Exchange of Time
- OT
