Celiac
O: Abdominal Aorta
E: Stomach, liver, spleen and the part of the esophagus that reached into the abdomen. Upper half of the duodenum and pancreas
Gastric
O: Celiac trunk
E: The stomachs superior end
Hepatic
O: Celiac trunk
E: Liver, duodenum (first section of the small intestine), pylorus (opening from stomach into small intestine), and the pancreas
Splenic
O: Celiac trunk
E: Spleen, pancreas, and the cardiac end of the stomach
Superior Mesenteric
O: Abdominal aorta, inferior to the origin of the celiac trunk
E: Intestine, lower part of the duodenum, 2/3 of transverse colon and pancreas
Renal (L and R)
O: Abdominal Aorta. Right below the superior mesenteric
E: Kidneys
Gonadal
O: Abdominal Aorta
E: Testicular artery in males and ovarian artery in females
Inferior Mesenteric
O: Abdominal Aorta
E: Large intestine. From the left colic flexure to the upper part of the rectum
Iliolumbar
O: Posterior division of the internal iliac artery
E: Branches into the iliac and lumbar branches.
- Ililac branch supplies the iliac fossa
- Lumbar branches toward muscles of the posterior abdominal wall
External Iliac
O: Common iliac artery
E: Enters the thigh and then turns into the femoral artery and supplies the lower limb
Femoral
O: External iliac artery
E: Branches into many different arteries but supplies blood to the lower limbs
Saphenous
O: Descending genicular artery
E: Lower leg and foot’s inner aspect
Deep Femoral
O: Femoral artery
E: Lower leg
Popliteal
O: Femoral artery
E: Goes through the knee and then branches into many different arteries
Internal iliac
O: Common iliac artery
E: Divides into the anterior and superior artery
