Etiology of A fib?

A
Any stressors to heart!!!
Toxins: EtOH, chemo
Endocrine - hyperthyroidism
MEtabolis: hypokalemia, hypomagnesemia
Infx: pneumonia, bronchitis, UTI
Pulmonary: COPD, sleep apnea
Cardiac: mitral valve dz, ischemia, cardiomyopathy

A
Slow heart rate, conversion into Nml rhythm
Prevent stroke (Warfarin)
Prevent recurrences
