Heart rhythm - reg or irreg
Length - occasional or sustained
Associated syncope
Onset and offset - sudden onset is more suggestive of arrhythmia

A
ECG - consider 24 hrs if frequent enough
TFT
Echo and cardiology review

Treatment for arrhythmia
A
Reassurance most of the time
Anticoagulation in AF
pharmacotherapy if associated with syncope of hypotension - beta blockers, adenosine ( for SVT)
DC cardioversion if unresponsive to tx
Pacemakers need to be switched off in labour to avoid inappropriate shocks
