Points to be addressed when completing witness statements:
Amount of time under observation
Distance from suspect
Visibility
Obstructions to the view of the witness
Known or seen before (when and where)
Any special reason for remembering suspect
Time lapse (how long has elapsed since)
Error or material discrepancy between description given in the first and subsequent accounts by the witness
