What makes a premise acceptable?

A
  • is it reasonable for those to whom it is adressed?
  • is there no evidence indicating that the premise is false
  • do you have good reason to accept the premises

  • do the premises state evidence that supports the conclusion?
  • can the premises be arranged, into a demonstration from which the conclusion can be derived?
