Describe the electrical system

A

14 volt, 60 amp alternator and 12 volt battery.

The battery is kept behind the baggage compartment

What does the ammeter display?

A

It does not indicate battery discharge, it displays the amperes the load placed on the alternator.

How should you react if the ammeter shows no output?

A

This suggests the alternator is not working (no load being placed on the alternator)- so check your 5 amp field breaker and the 60 amp output breaker and reset it open.

If no breaker is open, turn off ALT for 1 second then restart to reset the overvoltage relay. If it is still not showing output then reduce your electrical load and land.

Where is the external power adaptor?

A

It is accessible through a receptacle on the right side of the fuselage aft of the wing.
