Remove the apex bud to encourage more flowers on lateral stems. Benefits from dead heading and taking off flowers before they go to seed and it will repeat flower.
In Autumn the first frost will kill the plant

Bristly stems which are good protection form aphids as proboscis can’t reach past bristles into plants.

Purple or white flowers that keep producing all Summer, can propagate from semi ripe cuttings. Great for hanging basket.

Evergreen climber with woody stems and glossy thick pear like leaves. Stems need tying in and won’t recover from snapping. Has small white star shaped flowers. Very drought tolerant after immediate moisture needed on establishment. Prune immediately after flowering.
