- Also practised by other health professionals like nurses, therapists, etc.
- May also be referred to as allopathic, western, mainstream, regular, etc.

- These practices are not considered part of standard medical approaches
- Less is known about most types of complementary and alternative medicine

- Based on rigorous dilutions and mixing called successions, typically 30X
- Mollicutes have memory and they dilute it
