What is iterative development
This is when you consider a product’s strengths and weaknesses in order to understand how to update and improve the product
How is information formed
It is formed by selecting appropriate data, editing it and refining it to give it context and meaning.
Factors to check when creating a digital product
- Purpose - Does it meet the specified purpose
- User - Is it written to be suited for the intended audience
- Layout - Does it include a suitable layout.
- House style - Does the digital product meet the house style required by the organization.
- Font styles - Serif or Sans serif fonts.
- Color Choice - Colors should be expressing the correct mood, be harmonious, have contrast, be accessible by everyone.
What are the elements to consider when creating a digital product
- Logo and Title Position - Placed on top
- White space - not too much or too little
- Image position - by considering the overall appearance.
- Document Styles - This is the specific way in which information is arranged.
What happens when there is too much white space
This makes the digital assets look isolated and the overall appearance of the digital product look empty.
What happens when there is too little white space
This makes the digital product look too full and makes the reader to get confused and not understand the product very clearly.
What is a house style
A house style specifies how an organization’s documents should be laid out.
Why do organizations use a house style
- In order to maintain their corporate identity, to make their products immediately recognizable by people.
- To maintain a certain amount of consistency in the digital products that they produce.
What are the advantages of using sans serif fonts. Ex: Arial
- It makes it easier to read in lower resolution screens than serif fonts.
- It makes it more accessible to people with visual impairment to read and understand the content.
What are the 2 main types of font styles
- Serif
2. Sans serif
What is the Serif font style
- It is a type face
- That adds a small flat line, called a, “serif” to the ends of every letter.
What are harmonious colors
These are patterns of colors that work well with each other.
What is a color wheel
This is a circle that is used to show the relationship between colors by evenly spacing the primary colors, with the tertiary colors in between them.
Why is it important to use colors that contrast to each other.
To make them easier to be distinguished from each other and make it easier to be read and understood.
This is also important for people with accessibility issues, like : color blindness, because they cannot distinguish between red and green.
Why is it important to proofread your work
Because an automatic spell checker may make changes with which you disagree with and also may not identify some errors in the document.
