Q

What are the main points to include when evaluating data

A
  • was a stats test used to determine whether differences are significant ?
  • does it show results for more than one plant / species / organism / age / gender etc
  • do standard deviations overlap
-what was the most effective / least effective ?
-do figures show that eg co monoxide conc at 5 is deadly or have you assumed this
-find the range of the data , mode and mean
-was there a large or small sample size
  • range of data studied eg are values close together , should they investigate a wider range of values?
why is there no sig diff if the standard deviations do overlap
