  1. It was an area that was demilitarised by TOV
  2. France and USSR had just signed a military pact against Germany
  3. UK didn’t oppose as it was German land
  4. Hitler went in just as the Abyssinian Crisis was occurring so they were distracted by LON problems

  2. Hitler used this to stir up trouble and his officers said that they would only stop if Anschluss was achieved
  3. Schuschnigg called for a plebiscite
  4. Hitler sent troops in to ‘ensure a fair vote’
  5. 99.75% vote in favour of Anschluss
