John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. The fifth Beatle was their producer- George Martin.

What did each Beatle play on a standard line-up

Paul McCartney: Bass guitar
Harrison:Lead guitar
Lennon: Rhythm guitar
Starr: Drums
(Although there was some variation and all four members provided vocals.) In later songs, they offered a variety of other instruments including the piano and sitar.

What genres of music did The Beatles play?
A
Rock ānā roll, blues, folk, classical music and non western cultures including Indian music. They also used pioneering recording techniques such as sampling.
