What are the vascular derivatives of the first aortic arch?
Part of the maxillary artery
What are the vascular derivatives of the second aortic arch?
Hyoid artery and stapedial artery
What are the vascular derivatives of the third aortic arch?
Common carotid and proximal internal carotid artery
What are the vascular derivatives of the fourth aortic arch?
L –> aortic arch
R –> proximal R subclavian artery
What are the vascular derivatives of the sixth aortic arch?
Proximal pulmonary arteries
L –> also the ductus arteriosus
What are the cartilage derivatives of the first brachial arch?
Maxillary process (maxilla and zygomatic bone), mandibular process (mandible and meckel cartilage), malleus, incus and sphenomandibular ligament.
What are the cartilage derivatives of the second brachial arch?
Reichart cartilage: stapes, styloid process, lesser horn of the hyoid, stylohyoid ligament.
What are the cartilage derivatives of the third brachial arch?
greater horn of hyoid
What are the cartilage derivatives of the 4th and 6th brachial arch?
Arytenoids, cricoid, corniculate, cuneiform, thyroid.

Muscles of mastication, myelohyoid, anterior belly of digastric, tensor tympani, anterior 2/3 of tongue

Muscles of facial expression, stapedius, stylohyoid, platysma, posterior belly of digastric

Stylopharyngeus

most pharyngeal constrictors, cricothyroid, levator veli palatini
