Social Anxiety Disorder Two levels: Performance and Interaction

A

Performance- being able to present their presentation by articulating and being able to say what they mean to say efficiently. An example of this would be in sports or dance recital.
Interaction- this child knows what the evaluation criteria is and they are fine but, unstructed social situations are terrifying for them. This child is afraid to talk to other people in the hallway or afraid of going to a birthday party. They feel they do not know what is expected and they may do something wrong. An example of this for the adult version is small talk.
