Why ssri is first line?
A
- not cause dependance (no addict)
- can use long term and maintainance
- safe to use in cardiac prob
- effective to rx comorbid
- proven as anti anxiety
- once daily dosing
- less cholinergic side effect

- sexual dysfx
- no immediate effect (takes 2 weeks)
- early effect (nausea, jitteriness syndrome)
