  1. D2 rec: EPSE
  2. M1 rec: bov, dry mouth, tachyp, constipation, urinary retention
  3. H1 rec: sedarion, insomnia, wt gain
  4. CV se: torsades de pointes, orthostatic hypotension
  5. Metabolic syn
  6. Neuroleptic malignant syn : rare, life threatening, idiosyncratic rxn to neuroleptic meds

Due to: high dose, high potency, depot

  • fever
  • muscle rigidity
  • altered mental status
  • autonomic instability
    (hypertension, tachyp, tachycardia, hyperthermia)

Lab: wcc, ck, myoglobinuria
