1) Awareness of thoughts - what are they/ impact they have
2) Thought Control Techniques :
> Thought Stopping - anxiety diary, or use of a trigger word e.g. “block”
> Positive thought control
3) Challenge the negative thoughts:
> Countering - challenge the negatives
> Reframing - change emphasis on negative
> Replace with positive - focus on strengths
