Are drugs for unproductive cough, thick sputum, intense debilitating cough

(supress cough reflex by through a direct action)
dry cough is made into wet cough by water,
because it can depress the cough center or it can reduce the sensitivity of the receptors
For the reason to turn dry into wet is because dry cough affects the drainage of the bronchi
So turn dry into wet is makes easy to clean the respiratory tract and to cause less burning of throat due to coughing
