Q

Antiplatelet indications (use for)

A

CV disease that are prone to clogged vessels
keep grafts open/patent
prevent cerebrovascular occlusion (strokes & TIAs)
Adjunct to thrombolytic therapy after MI & to prevent another MI

Q

Aspirin Indications

A

↓ risk of current TIAs or strokes in men with a hx of TIA due to fibrin or platelet emboli
Reduction of death or nonfatal MI in patients with a hx of infarction or unstable angina & MI prohylaxis
Has anti-inflammatory analgesic & antipyretic effects
