What is the treatment option for sepsis?
A
- Amoxicillin 1g IV 8 hourly ( Give Teicoplanin IV if patient is penallergic or has history of MRSA)
- Gentamicin IV*
- Metronidazole 500mg IV 8 hourly
If CrCl <20ml/min or Gentamicin contraindicated:
- Teicoplanin 12mg/kg IV
- Aztreonam 2g IV 8 hourly
- Metronidazole 500mg IV 8 hourly
