Use: Severe systemic mycoses
SE: Fever/chills, Hypotension, nephrotoxic, arrhythmias

MOA: Binds ergosterol, creates pore in wall
Use: Candida
Azoles (fluconazole, itraconazole, clotrimazole)
MOA: Cell wall ergosterol inhibitor
Use: local infection, less severe systemic mycoses, Fluconazole for HIV prophylaxis
SE: Testosterone Synthesis inhibition
Flucytosine
MOA: DNA/RNA synthesis inhibitor
Use: Systemic mycoses (meningitis)
SE: Bone marrow suppression
Echinocandins (capsofungins, micafungin)
MOA: Inhibit B-Glucan synthesis
Use: Invaseive Aspergillus, Candida
Terbinafine
MOA: Inhibits Ergosterol synthesis
Use: Dermatophytes
SE: GI
Griseofulvin
MOA: Interferes with microtubules
Use: Dermatophytes, oral infection
Antiprotazoans
Pyrimethamine (toxo)
Chloroquine
MOA: blocks detox of Heme into hemazoin Use: Malaria (not falciparum) For Falciparum (artemether, atovaquone, proguanil) but avoid if G6PD deficient
Antihelminthic
Mebendazole, praziquantel (schistosome)
