Adverse effects of anticonvulsants?

A
  • Valproate and carbamazepine - drowsiness, ataxia, cardiovascular effects and induces liver enzymes.
  • Valproate -teratogenicity (neural tube defects)
  • Lamotrigine - small risk of SJS (Stevens-Johnson syndrome).
