MRSA: V, L, D

Acute sinusitis

*AMOXICILLIN + CLAVULANATE
Pharyngitis
PENICILLIN or AMOXICILLIN
Community acquired bacterial pneumonia- ambulatory
Macrolide (erythromycin, azithromycin, clarithromycin)
Community acquired bacterial pneumonia- hospitalization
B-lactam + macrolide
Community acquired bacterial pneumonia- MRSA
Vancomycin, linezolid (not sure why but daptomycin is not listed in ppt)
Hospital or ventilator acquired bacterial pneumonia- Empiric
MRSA
Empiric: Ceftriaxone
MRSA: V + L, no D…that’s too bad…D is good sometimes
Uncomplicated UTI- Cystitis
TMP-SMX
Uncomplicated UTI- Pyelonephritis
TMP-SMX or Fluoroquinolone
