- Microcytic- MCV < 80 fL (iron deficiency)

Hematopoietic Growth Factors
A
- Erythropoietin; used in chronic renal failure and anemia of chronic disease
- Filgrastim (G-CSF); used in recovery from chemotherapy; mobilizes hematopoietic blood cells in the hematopoeitic stem cell transplantation
- Sargramostim (GM-CSF); used in recovery of chemotherapy/bone marrow transplantation
- Oprelvekin (IL-ll); used in thrombocytopenia that may result from chemotherapy
