Hematopoietic Growth Factors

A
  • Erythropoietin; used in chronic renal failure and anemia of chronic disease
  • Filgrastim (G-CSF); used in recovery from chemotherapy; mobilizes hematopoietic blood cells in the hematopoeitic stem cell transplantation
  • Sargramostim (GM-CSF); used in recovery of chemotherapy/bone marrow transplantation
  • Oprelvekin (IL-ll); used in thrombocytopenia that may result from chemotherapy
