Anti-Inflammatory Agents
Acute gout, painful shoulder, bursitis, fever, ankylosing spondylitis, rheumatoid arthritis, mild-moderate pain, tendonitis, osteoarthritis, vascular headaches, platelet inhibition
Indications for Anti-inflammatory agents
ASA (aspirin)-fever, pain, inflammation, antithrombotic
Indomethacin (indocid)-pain, inflammation, fever, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, bursitis or tendonitis
Acetic acids
Ibuprofen (Advil)-arthritis, painful menstruation, fever, inflammation
Naproxen
Propionic acid
Celecoxib (celebrex)-anti-inflammatory, arthritis, painful menstruation, acute pain
COX-2 Inhibitors

Associated with aspirin intake in children with viral diseases
Causes fatty liver with minimal inflammation and encephalopathy
Liver may become enlarged and firm and there is a change to appearance of kidneys
