- Insertion: splits into tendons which pass through carpal tunnel and insert onto distal phalanges of the four fingers
- Actions: flexion of distal IP joints, flexion of MCP joints, flexion of wrist
- Innervation: medial half -ulnar nerve, lateral half -median nerve
