Tibialis Anterior
O: lateral condyle and superior 2/3rds of lateral surface of tibia and interosseus membrane
I: medial and inferior surfaces of medial cuneiform and base of the first metatarsal
N: deep fibular nerve (L4, L5)
A: dorsiflex ankle, inverts foot, supports medial longitudinal arch of the foot
Extensor Hallucis Longus
O: middle part of anterior surface of the fibula and interosseus membrane
I: dorsal aspect of the base of distal phalanx of the great toe
N: deep fibular nerve (L5, S1)
A: extend great toe, dorsiflex ankle
Extensor Digitorum Longus
O: lateral condyle of the tibia and superior 2/3rds of anterior surface of the fibula and interosseus membrane
I: middle and distal phalanges of lateral four digits
N: deep fibular nerve (L5, S1)
A: dorsiflexes ankle, and extends lateral four digits
Fibularis Tertius
O: inferior 1/3rd of anterior surface of the fibula and interosseus membrane
I: dorsum of base of fifth metatarsal
N: deep fibular nerve (L5, S1)
A: dorsiflex ankle and aids in eversion of the foot
