Pectoralis Major
PA- Clavicular Head: medial ½ of clavicle; Sternocostal head: anterior sternum, superior 6 costal cartilages (ribs)
DA- Lateral lip of intertubercular groove
N/S- Lateral & medial pectoral nerves
A- Adducts and medially rotates humerus
Clavicular head- flexes humerus
Pectoralis Minor
PA - 3rd-5th ribs near their costal cartilages
DA - Coracoid process of the scapula
N/S- Medial pectoral nerve
A- Stabilises scapula by drawing it inferiorly and anteriorly on thoracic cage
Subclavius
PA- Junction of 1st rib and costal cartilage
DA- Inferior surface of the middle third of the clavicle
N/S- Nerve to subclavius
A- Anchors and depresses clavicle
Serratus Anterior
PA – External surface of lateral parts of ribs 1-8
DA - Anterior surface of medial border of scapula
N/S- Long thoracic nerve
A- Protracts scapula & holds it on thoracic wall, rotates scapula (glenoid fossa superiorly)
