you can do CVS at 12 weeks and for amniocentesis you gotta wait until 16 weeks
what is the quadruple marker test
tests alpha-fetoprotein, estradiol, human chorionic gonadotropin
what happens if the quad markers are positive
refer for amniocentesis or CVS
Patient teaching post amniocentesis
report uterine cramping ASAP (it can cause preterm labor)
lecithin/sphingomyelin (L/S ratio)
measure how mature fetus lungs are. (2:1 = mature)
