march 12th 1938-H stated how A was in a state of chaos and need the Grman army to help out

the plebiscite was controlled as stormtroppers were placed at tolling stations to intimidate them
ppl argued A didn’t gain anything from anschluss it was only advantageous for G (added 100,000 austrians to theirr army + foreign policy)
anschluss certified and confirmed G’s alliance with Italy as the spanish civil war and anti-cornintern pact had too, to the world-when H tried anschluss previously in 1934 mussolini interfered but in 1938 remaind passive.=
